Overview

The Laurea Magistrale in Cybersecurity of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" is the first 2-year master degree of this kind offered in Italy. The 2-year study program is characterized by an interdisciplinary  offering that collects contributions from computer science, engineering, statistics, legal-economic and organizational sciences, along with specific knowledge of the major application domains of cyberattack protection.
This master degree provides for teaching only in English to facilitate integration into an international workplace, and the participation of foreign students and teachers.

In particular, the Cybersecurity master degree offers both the technological and organizational knowledge necessary to define, supervise and coordinate the system and information security of complex IT infrastructures, to organize the protection against cyber attacks, to implement computer incident management processes, to manage recovery in case of successful attack, to develop secure software through advanced methodologies, and finally to deal with the security-related aspects of information systems within corporate risk-management policies and regulations.

The strong emphasis on multidisciplinary training characterizes the uniqueness of Cybersecurity Master's degree content, first in Italy to offer, in a university degree, highly specialized course, such as: Ethical hacking, Malware Analysis, Digital forensics and Security governance.

The MSc in Cybersecurity provides three study plan designed to train professionals with different skills, namelly: Software, Processes and Governance, and Infrastructures and Systems.
It is a 2-year, 120 ECTS program ending with the development and discussion of a final thesis project.
