Below is a brief overview of the procedures with details specific to our programme.
The Call for Applications in this academic year 2023/24 can be found here (Italian) or here (English). All students are requested to read it carefully.
Note that the procedures and deadlines differ if you are:
- an Italian Student,
- a European Union (EU) Student
- a non-EU Student.
As for the latter, note that the procedure differs if you already have an Italian Visa / Residence Permit or not.

Non-EU students who need to obtain their Visa from the Italian Embassy must follow the procedures on the Pre-selection international Platform. The application time window usually opens in November of the preceding year to April of the same year you will enrol. Please refer to the International Admissions platform for the specific calendar.
If you pass the international pre-selection, please follow Step 1 and Step 2 described below:

Italian, EU, and non-EU students already in possession of an Italian Visa / Residence Permit (and also non-EU students who have successfully passed the pre-enrolment phase) can apply by following the steps below as soon as the official Call for Applications is published by Sapienza University of Rome, usually in mid-July.
Italian, EU, and non-EU students already possessing an Italian Visa/Residence Permit should follow the procedure described on the page Requirements and personal knowledge assessment (Master's Degrees).
For such students, the time window for admission goes from about the middle of July until the middle of December. There is an additional deadline in the middle of January dedicated to the Sapienza undergraduate students who wish to enrol after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree during the December session.
Please also note that the deadline month for EU students is September.

The CV of each prospective student will be evaluated by a Committee appointed by the Didactics Board (Consiglio del Corso di Studi - CdS). Students will be evaluated and selected by the requirements outlined below in the section "General Requirements" and based on the following elements (students should clearly outline in their CV):
All the students will receive the result of their evaluation, either positive or negative, to their email address specified on Infostud during Step1.
In order to be admitted to the Master's Programme in Cybersecurity, candidates must meet both these requirements:
Sapienza uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and each course has a certain ECTS value.
Our MSc takes for granted the subjects and contents covered in the Italian Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Our MSc offers an in-depth technical study aimed at training experts in Cybersecurity. Therefore, an high technological core is essential, regardless of the orientation chosen within your Study Plan.
Hence, taking for granted all the above-mentioned administrative procedures, if you do not possess the 44-required ECTS, and you are still interested in our Master's degree, you are invited to follow the undermentioned steps:
1) Follow Step 1 Infostud registration and officially apply to Infostud. The Committee will evaluate your application and will send you an official reply that will list the Single Courses you can attend in order to enrol as soon as you have taken all the exams;
2) Send an email to cybersecurity_info@uniroma1.it asking for the specific Code of each Single Course you have to attend.
3) Write to the Administrative Office to inform them that you have been authorized to take these Single Courses to achieve curricular requisites in order to enrol in the Cybersecurity degree. This way, you will be granted a discount on your tuition fee (the Administrative Office will provide more details).
