An international normative framework for responsible conduct in cyberspace: a Dutch perspective

Abstract: In this webinar Dutch experts and practitioners will discuss the developments of a normative framework in international cyberspace in the different international fora, the Dutch policy and priorities to work on an international rule of law in cyberspace and the broader impact on the European cybersecurity toolbox.

Speakers:

Prof. Dennis Broeders is Full Professor of Global Security and Technology and Senior Fellow of The Hague Program for Cyber Norms at Institute of Security and Global Affairs of Leiden University.

Dr. Sico van der Meer is a Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. His research focusses on non-conventional weapons such as Weapons of Mass Destruction and cyber weapons from a strategic policy perspective. He also has a special interest in North Korea and relations between North and South Korea.

Mrs Dewi van de Weerd is currently Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy. She previously served as Ambassador in Albania and held several positions at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Michael Thijssen is currently Deputy Head of the Task Force Cyber at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
