Abstract: Disruption has become a buzzword in recent years but is often confused with technological acceleration or innovation. Modern societies are the result of countless changes that happened in the past. Our behaviour and how we perceive others change with the emergence of new products, services, and know-how. And yet, we understand so little about the underlying concepts supporting these changes.
Following this seminar, students will learn how to define and differentiate concepts surrounding innovation, digital disruption, and technological advances. They will understand the relationship between innovation and new business models and learn how to design a strong business model. Students will later have the opportunity to apply their new understanding of innovation to a real-case scenario which will be the final deliverable of this class.
