Summary: The seminar aims to provide participants with an introduction to the field of cyber threat intelligence and its practical applications. It will cover various topics, including the fundamentals of cyber threat intelligence, the different sources of threat intelligence, the process of collecting and analysing threat data, and the methodologies for assessing and mitigating cyber risks. Additionally, real-world case studies and examples will be shared to illustrate how organisations can effectively implement cyber threat intelligence strategies to enhance their cybersecurity posture. By the end of the seminar, participants will have gained valuable insights into the theory and practical aspects of cyber threat intelligence, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to understand this evolving field better.

Schedule: The session will last from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be structured as follows:

  • 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Presentation of the Company and the Cyber & Security Solutions Division by Flavia Biagioli [Talent Acquisition team at Leonardo - Cyber & Security Solutions Division]
  • 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Introduction by Nino Verde, followed by presentations from Carmine Molisso and Valerio Zottola [former students of Sapienza], who will share their experiences and describe some activities they have personally undertaken or are currently involved in.

Biography: Nino Verde: Nino is Head of Cyber Threat Intelligence at Leonardo’s Cyber & Security Solutions Division. Previously, he worked in the CTO office to develop intelligence products, prototypes, and innovative technologies to be brought to market. He has several years of experience in cyber threat intelligence and incident response with a focus on state-sponsored threats and actors, working both as an analyst and architect. He was previously with Sapienza-University of Rome and the University of Roma Tre, where he published numerous papers in international scientific conferences and journals on computer and network security, access control, wireless ad-hoc networks, encrypted network traffic analysis, and digital forensics.

Registration: This seminar is restricted to the students of the Master's Degree in Cybersecurity.
