Summary: What is security awareness, and why is it so important for business organisations and individuals? The seminar will try to answer these questions, by providing an overview of the building blocks of a digital security awareness programme, its main challenges and critical success factors. In an interactive format, the seminar will combine theoretical concepts with examples of real awareness initiatives and practical exercises.

Biography: Monica Pellegrino is the Principal Digital Security Expert at the European Central Bank, where since 2018, she has been responsible for the Digital Security Awareness Programme of the Bank. After achieving a MD and a PhD in Electronic Engineering at “Sapienza” University, she moved to ABI Lab, the R&I center promoted by the Italian Banking Association, where she coordinated several projects on Digitalisation and Cybersecurity, contributing to the design and launch of CERTFin, the Italian Financial CERT. In her professional career, she has been a member of several international working groups promoted by ENISA, the European Banking Federation and the European Payments Council as an expert in cyber and payments security. She is CISSP, CRISC and CISM certified.
